Composites Design Engineer

Description:

As our client is experiencing significant growth they have given us the pleasure to seek out an experienced Composite Design Engineering professional to provide innovation and solutions to meet the their customer needs.

Responsibilities:
-Knowledgeable regarding mechanical design principles and their application to composite structures.
-Application of thorough understanding of composite materials and their properties to the design of structures.
-Incorporate technical, cost, value and safety considerations into the product characterization to comply with customer, regulatory, and company guidelines.
-Facilitate and integrate routine contact with customers, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
-Manage tasks, schedules and budgets for multiple projects on an on-going basis.
-Involvement/leadership with special projects, as needed.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; MS or PhD is beneficial.
-5+ years experience in structural composites.
-Knowledge of composite design principles and practices with attention to detail and ability to follow through.
-Strong mechanical engineering background required.
-Competence with Solidworks, AutoCAD, Catia V5 and Ansys 9.0 strongly desired.
-Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Sound judgment, organizational abilities and professionalism.
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
