Opportunity
The Mechanical Design/Project Engineer role is critical to this client’s growth and continuing success. The client has approximately 50 employees and takes great pride in their ability to service all of their clients, both domestic and international, through quality engineering and manufacturing of customer specific load transferring products. This client has been in business over 35 years and has opened this requisition to assist with its continued growth. They currently seek a Mechanical Engineer that has excellent design experience including stress analysis, load distribution, and structural deflection and must also be able to lead a project from start to finish as a Project Engineer.
Job Requirements
BA in Mechanical Engineering with 6-8 years experience in mechanical design
2 years of AutoCAD experience
Ability to apply knowledge of engineering principles including stress analysis (hand calculations a must), load distribution, and structural deflection to design products.
Excellent communication skills for project management and customer facing activities.
Job Responsibility
This position is responsible for managing customer specific projects through conception to completion and designing and developing structural systems and mechanical components using knowledge of engineering principles, stress analysis, load distribution, and structural deflection.
Job Qualifications
Candidates must have experience with:
-AutoCAD (2005)
-BA in Mechanical Engineering with 6-8 years of Specific Mechanical Engineering Experience Including:

Stress Analysis (Hand Calculation)

Load Distribution

Structural Deflection

- Project Scheduling
- Quality Customer Service Skills
Candidates should have:
- Project Costing Experience
- Budgeting Experience
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Knowledge of Solid Works with Cosmos is a plus
- Willingness to Work in a Fast Paced Entrepreneurial Environment
- Excellent Time Management
- Solid Planning and Goal Setting Skills
